Business Development Manager

Our client, a leading oil distributor in Northern Ireland, is seeking an experienced Business Development Executive to join their team in Derry/Londonderry. This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary of £25,000 (negotiable based on experience).
Job Purpose:You will be responsible for developing and maintaining a portfolio of existing commercial customers, identifying new business opportunities, and understanding the competitor market to support the business strategy for product pricing.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain a portfolio of existing commercial customers
- Identify potential new business opportunities through lead generation, networking, and prospecting
- Understand the competitor market to support the business strategy for product pricing
- Regular telephone communication with potential or existing customers, processing orders, and recording and updating records and data
- Utilize relevant online platforms, industry associations, and social networks to identify new leads
- Assist the Marketing Department in any promotional or general marketing activity
- Liaise with the Sales Director to ensure maintenance of pricing policy
- Provide regular reports on sales activities and forecast to the management team
- Liaise with other departments to ensure the commercial customer/order and business needs are met
- General customer care and general administration
Requirements:
- Sales and Business Development experience with a minimum of 2 years' experience within a similar role
- Strong commercial focus with the ability to manage the process from lead generation to sale closing
- Knowledge in CRM software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics) is desirable
- Excellent communication and telephone skills, with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
- Highly motivated and results-driven
