Job Spec Position:

Business Development Executive

Reporting to the Sales Director, this role involves developing and maintaining a portfolio of existing commercial customers, identifying new business opportunities, and understanding the competitor market to support the business strategy for product pricing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a portfolio of existing commercial customers
  • Identify potential new business opportunities through lead generation, networking, and prospecting
  • Understand the competitor market to support the business strategy for product pricing
  • Regular telephone communication with potential or existing customers, processing orders, and recording and updating records and data
  • Utilize relevant online platforms, industry associations, and social networks to identify new leads
  • Assist the Marketing Department in promotional or general marketing activities
  • Liaise with Sales Director to ensure maintenance of pricing policy
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities and forecast to the management team
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure commercial customer/order and business needs are met

Requirements:

  • Sales and business development experience
  • A minimum of two years experience in a similar role
  • Strong commercial focus with the ability to manage the process from lead generation to sale closing
  • Highly motivated and results-driven
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong client relationships
  • Knowledge in CRM software (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics)

Location: Head Office, Greysteel

This is primarily an office-based role, but on occasion, there may be a requirement to visit customers on their premises.

Hours: 40 hours per week (30-minute lunch break unpaid)

Monday to Friday Salary: Salary is negotiable depending on experience (plus performance-related bonus)
