Bereavement Support Role Overview

HSBC Global Services Limited seeks a compassionate and diligent Customer Service Advisor to join their Bereavement Support team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for processing initial notifications following the death of a customer and providing assistance with queries related to the bereavement journey via various communication channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls, as well as digital communications and postal inquiries.
  • Make informed decisions regarding customer and business risk while delivering a professional and empathetic telephony and administration service to bereaved families.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, ensuring a fair outcome for all parties involved.
  • Support the department in meeting key performance indicators, including service levels and operational risk.

Requirements

While previous customer service experience is essential, you do not need to have banking experience. HSBC provides comprehensive training to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this role.

Applicants must be UK residents over the age of 18, with a valid right to work in the UK. We are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.

Working Arrangements

HSBC operates a hybrid working environment, allowing you to work from home and our office in Hamilton. You will need to ensure you have a suitable home setup, including a desk and chair in a quiet location, to effectively manage your work.
