About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Operations Manager to join our team at Brammer Buck & Hickman. As a Regional Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of industrial distribution contracts, providing leadership and motivation to a team of Insite Managers, and ensuring the consistent delivery of customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Responsibility for the combined Profit and Loss (P&L) for all Insites.
  • Leadership and Motivation: Provide leadership and motivation to all Insite Managers, both in person and remotely.
  • Customer Service: Ensure the consistent delivery of agreed levels of customer service.
  • Forecasting: Work with Insite Managers in the preparation and submission of forecasts.
  • Process Implementation: Implement and monitor the Company Scorecard report, ensuring best practice principles across all Insites within the region.
  • Standardization: Develop, maintain, and implement standard core processes to deliver consistent service and performance levels for customers.
  • Customer Relationships: Develop on-site relationships with customers by setting and attending regular review meetings and assisting in efficiency programs.
  • Performance Review: Attend regular internal review meetings to discuss Regional Insite performance and contract compliance.

  • Industrial Distribution Experience: Experience of working within industrial distribution or a multi-site management role.
  • P&L Management: Understanding of P&L management.
  • Stores Management: Understanding and appreciation of stores management disciplines.
  • Communication and Leadership: Clear communication and presentation skills, with the emotional intelligence required to lead a field-based team in the delivery of targets and operational fulfillment.
  • Customer Focus: Naturally, customer-focused, with a passion for creating a market-leading proposition.
  • Leadership and Motivation: A visible and energetic leader who is able to enthuse and motivate a team.
  • Performance Management: Experience of appraisals, SMART objectives, and staff performance management.
  • Initiative and Autonomy: An initiative-taking self-starter who is comfortable working at pace.
  • Active Listening: Active listener with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Decision-Making: Comfortable in making challenging decisions and driving demanding objectives.
