Buckingham Futures is currently recruiting for a Public Health and Safety Officer to support our operations in Argyll and Bute.

This role involves delivering a wide range of environmental health services, including public health, environmental protection, licensing and planning consultations, health and safety, and food safety.

Main Duties:

  1. Implement and enforce environmental health policies and regulations, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
  2. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure premises meet regulatory requirements.

Essential Qualifications:

  1. BSc (Hons) Environmental Health and REHIS Diploma in Environmental Health/EHORB, or Higher Certificate in Food Premises Inspection, or equivalent.
  2. HACCP level 4 and Official Control Verification certificate for food safety work in Oban.
  3. At least 3 years' experience working in a related field, preferably with a local authority or agency.
  4. Ability to work flexibly, with occasional on-site work in Argyll and Bute.

£45,000 - £60,000 per annum
