About the Role

We are seeking an experienced social worker or manager to lead and manage the Children and Families team in the town of Oban. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in managing children's services, with a broad range of work from early support to adoption processes.

The role offers diverse learning opportunities for managers looking to further enhance their skills and knowledge in a remote rural/island setting. You will be part of a team providing services to many of Argyll's inhabited islands, offering unique experiences in managing social services across different age and ability ranges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Children and Families team in Oban and Argyll Islands
  • Develop and implement effective strategies for child protection and care experienced children
  • Manage processes leading to adoption and other statutory work
Requirements
  • PV membership in relation to working with children and adults
  • Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)

Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
