Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a dedicated Nursing Associate to join their Wycombe Adult Community Healthcare Team.

Job Overview

This exciting opportunity offers the chance to work in a friendly and proactive community team, providing high-quality nursing care to patients in their homes. As a Nursing Associate, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working closely with community nurses to support patients with various needs.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge through our comprehensive preceptorship program and orientation process. You will receive training and support to achieve your competencies and become an integral member of the team.

Main Responsibilities

Your key duties will include:

  • Supporting community nurses with a range of tasks, including admission prevention, facilitating discharges from hospital, and end-of-life care.
  • Conducting holistic patient assessments, administering medications, and managing wounds and pressure areas.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and initiatives that promote positive outcomes for patients and communities.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Registered Nursing Associate qualification on the NMC register.
  • A Nursing Associate foundation degree qualification.
  • GCSEs at Grade A-C or equivalent in Maths and English, or Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English.
  • Newly qualified acceptance.

Prior experience in the community setting is desirable, as is the ability to communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and colleagues.
