Clinical Liaison Specialist

**Job Overview**
The Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an exceptional Clinical Liaison Specialist to join their Mental Health Liaison Service. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments and implementing evidence-based treatment pathways for individuals presenting to the Acute hospital.
This challenging yet rewarding position requires someone with outstanding assessment and risk management skills, as well as the ability to demonstrate high-functioning communication skills and exceptional personal qualities. Main Responsibilities
- Provide high-standard clinical care ensuring safe and effective assessment, treatment, and comprehensive discharge planning using highly developed clinical reasoning skills and appropriate assessment tools.
- Delegate aspects of patient treatment plans to other members of the team, while maintaining overall responsibility for patient care, where appropriate.
- Work with individuals to assess their mental health, recognize mental illness, and identify related needs and circumstances, enabling them to understand, manage, and change their behavior.
- Plan, implement, review, and improve interventions to meet people's identified needs and manage inherent risks with comprehensive Clinical Risk Formulation.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records and coordinate those of the team.
- Develop clinical practice having due regard for NICE Guidelines for Liaison Psychiatry 2016.
- Demonstrate empowering leadership skills within the Mental Health Liaison Team and seek opportunities to promote and develop the profession.
- Participate in Clinical Governance activities, including induction, supervision, personal development review, health and safety, risk management, and audit.
Requirements
- Excellent assessment and risk management skills.
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and MCA (2005).
- Evidence of continued professional development.
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
