Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated pharmacist to provide clinical pharmacy services at United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

This role is focused on delivering high-quality care to women and children, working as part of a diverse and inclusive pharmacy team.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and developing policies related to medicines optimisation, producing reports for divisional meetings, and providing line management and support to junior pharmacists and pharmacy students.

You will also be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in pharmaceutical knowledge and practice, applying your expertise to improve patient outcomes.

Person Specification
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  • Excellent clinical pharmaceutical knowledge of medical specialities
  • Computer literacy in word processing and spreadsheets
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to plan and coordinate work effectively, including time management and leadership skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including persuasion and influencing prescribing practices
  • Genuine care and concern for staff and patient welfare
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
Experience and Qualifications
  • Significant specialist medical knowledge acquired through training and experience
  • MEDICINES MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE IN A HOSPITAL ENVIRONMENT ACROSS A RANGE OF SPECIALITIES
  • Mentoring and/or teaching experience
  • Registration as a Pharmacist with The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Postgraduate Clinical Diploma and/or equivalent experience
  • PREScriber qualification or willingness to undertake training to achieve prescribing qualification
