Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategies for Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) in Oxfordshire. This will involve working closely with parents, carers, children, and multi-agency partners to ensure that the needs of children with SEND are met effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for SEND across Oxfordshire
  • Work collaboratively with parents, carers, children, and multi-agency partners to achieve better outcomes for children with SEND
  • Lead on the development of partnerships and networks to support the SEND agenda
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to SEND
  • Provide advice and guidance to senior managers and other staff on SEND-related matters

Requirements

  • Significant experience of working with children who have SEND, including experience of working with parents and carers
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective strategies and plans
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a focus on achieving shared goals
  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as social work, education, or special educational needs
