Strategic Social Care Lead

About the Role
This is a key position within the Local Area SEND service, requiring a skilled and experienced professional to lead the social care elements of the strategy.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and the Children and Families Act, and will be able to frame and develop social care elements of the Local Area SEND Services strategy.
This role involves working closely with parents/carers and children, gathering their views on the system and feeding this back to the Local Area SEND Services.
The Designated Social Care Officer will ensure that both parent/carers and children's voices are represented and acted upon.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Social Worker or Manager with significant experience of working with children who have SEND.
The ideal candidate will be able to constructively and proactively challenge practice, systems and processes to improve the outcomes for children with SEND living in Oxfordshire.
