About the Role

Helen & Douglas House is seeking a highly experienced Senior Philanthropy Manager to play a strategic role in the development of fundraising for the organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering a major donor fundraising strategy, managing and delivering the Trusts Fundraising programme, and working closely with the Exec Team and service teams to develop key propositions for funding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of major donor fundraising, including developing and delivering complex income and expenditure budgets, and managing suppliers.
  • Manage and deliver the Trusts Fundraising programme, including developing and delivering key propositions for funding.
  • Work closely with the Exec Team and service teams to develop key propositions for funding.
  • Maximise donor recruitment, retention, and ultimately lifetime value.

About the Organisation

Helen & Douglas House is a registered hospice charity based in Oxford, providing palliative, respite, end-of-life, and bereavement care to life-limited children and their families.

Person Specification

  • Strong experience in major donor and/or trust fundraising, including developing and delivering business and operational plans.
  • Experience in developing and delivering complex income and expenditure budgets, including regular variance reporting and reforecasting and planning contingency action.
  • Experience of liaising with and influencing colleagues at all levels and managing suppliers.
