Lead Officer for Local Area SEND Services

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Lead Officer for Local Area SEND Services in Oxfordshire. As a key member of the Local Area SEND Services team, you will play a crucial role in shaping and developing social care elements of the strategy across the local authority.
You will work closely with parents/carers and children, gathering their views and feedback, and ensuring that their voices are represented and acted upon. You will also negotiate with and influence others to build effective partnerships.
About the RoleThe salary for this role is approximately £56,000-£59,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will be required to have significant experience of working as a Social Worker or Manager with children who have SEND, as well as experience of working with children and their families/carers together with multi-agency partners.
The successful candidate will be a confident practitioner who is able to constructively and proactively challenge practice, systems and processes to improve outcomes for children with SEND living in Oxfordshire.
