Head of Diversity and Inclusion Specialist

This is a 6-month secondment reporting to the Associate Director of People Resourcing and OD. You will provide expertise and lead the development and implementation of a Trust-wide, whole systems approach to implementing an equality and diversity framework in line with legislation, NHS Guidance and good practice.
Main Responsibilities- To ensure the delivery of the EDI elements of the Trust's People Plan, including the delivery of the WRES, WDES action plans and the NHS's six high impact EDI changes.
- To develop a network of cultural inclusion ambassadors who can support the Trust's recruitment strategy and disciplinary processes.
- To provide leadership and support to the Directorate with the development and implementation of workforce equality and diversity processes and plans (Staff Survey Action Plan).
- To analyse recruitment data and develop strategies in partnership with the resourcing team that help ensure the Trust has a reflective workforce at all levels of the organisation.
- To undertake specific time-limited development projects as determined by emerging government policy and strategy.
The Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT) is the main provider of Mental Health and Learning Disability services in Leeds. We also provide specialist inpatient services in York and some highly specialised services across the country. As a teaching trust with strong links to local universities, we are a centre of excellence for teaching, research and development.

Qualifications
- A post-graduate degree (master's or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, or proven high performance academic ability
Knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of equality, diversity and human rights legislation and inclusion guidance.
- Demonstrate well-developed specialist knowledge across the range of procedures and practices of equality and diversity and social inclusion, supported and backed up with both sound theory and relevant practical experience.
Experience
- Substantial experience of operating in a senior leadership role.

- Experience of leading and advising on data impact analysis
