Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our efforts in promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the Trust.
About the Role: As the Head of Inclusion and Diversity, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy to promote equality, diversity, and inclusion across the Trust. This will involve working closely with senior leaders, directors, and staff at all levels to ensure that our policies, procedures, and practices are fair, inclusive, and respectful of all individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a Trust-wide equality and diversity framework in line with legislation, NHS guidance, and best practice.
- Lead the development, improvement, and delivery of the Trust's EDI strategy as an integral feature of the Trust's People Plan, culture, service delivery, and wider workforce agenda.
- Provide expertise and support to the Directorate in the development and implementation of workforce equality and diversity processes and plans.
- Work in partnership with staff networks to develop and deliver EDI interventions.
- Provide input and EDI expertise to the senior leadership team.
- Analyse recruitment data and develop strategies to ensure the Trust has a reflective workforce at all levels.
- Undertake specific time-limited development projects as determined by emerging government policy and strategy.
- Review key EDI policies and procedures to ensure they are fit for purpose and ensure any changes are properly consulted upon.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong track record of experience in promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in a similar context. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with senior leaders, directors, and staff at all levels.
