Job Description: As a Finance and Accounting Professional, you will be responsible for processing purchase ledger invoices, sales invoices, expense claims, and setting up accounts. You will also check supplier statements, issue customer statements, follow up late payments, and produce end-of-month supplier payment runs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process purchase ledger invoices, including reconciling invoices to purchase orders and sorting queries.
  • Process sales invoices, checking valuations, retention, and variations.
  • Process expense claims and receipts, updating the accounting system, raising payments, and expense reports.
  • Set up accounts and update accounting records.
  • Check supplier statements and issue customer statements.
  • Follow up late customer payments and overdue accounts, recording follow-up notes.
  • Produce end-of-month supplier payment runs and supplier remittances for payments made.
  • Review Purchase Orders raised for jobs and ensure these are fully receipted where the invoice has been received.
  • Understand balances on debtors and creditors individual accounts, resolving any queries that arise.
  • Review month-end postings to confirm transactions have been posted in the correct ledgers.
  • Analyze and monitor company credit card spending.

Required Skills and Qualifications: AAT Level 3 or equivalent, 2+ years' experience in a similar purchase ledger position, good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and strong communication, calculation, and literacy skills.
