Financial Operations Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team at Trial Balance. The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance and administration, with experience in managing purchase ledgers and supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as an initial point of contact for supplier enquiries and resolve discrepancies with colleagues.
- Monitor accounts payable email addresses and administer the purchase order system.
- Create and locate invoices, ensuring accurate VAT status and invoice coding.
- Reconcile supplier statements and ensure payment authorisation of supplier invoices.
- Assist with month-end procedures and AP system process improvements.
- Support the Financial Controller with ongoing accounting projects.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 12 months of recently gained experience in a modern finance function.
- Sound IT skills and experience using Sage and/or MS Excel is highly beneficial.
- AAT qualification or suitable vocational experience is also desirable.
Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
