Service Desk Engineer

Our client, a leading company in Birmingham, is seeking a skilled Service Desk Engineer to join their technical team. As a Service Desk Engineer, you will be responsible for providing first- and second-line support to both internal and external users, working with a variety of hardware, software, and network issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Logging incidents into the service desk system
  • Providing first- and second-line support
  • Escalating technical issues to third-line support
  • Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
  • Updating documentation and support materials as needed
  • Providing high-quality customer service
  • Participating in implementation projects as required
Required Skills:
  • Windows Server and Windows OS
  • Office 365
  • Cloud infrastructure knowledge, specifically Azure
  • Active Directory administration
  • Hardware management
  • Routers and switches
  • TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs
  • VMware
  • Intune
