We are seeking a highly skilled UK Financial Accounting & Reporting Manager to join our team at Gates Corporation in Cramlington. As a key member of our Finance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of financial and management accounting, as well as reporting for all UK entities.

This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary of £85,000 per annum, plus benefits.

Job Description

As our UK Financial Accounting & Reporting Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring statutory compliance with local, regional, and global regulations.
  • Working closely with the Regional Chief Accountant and Global Controls & Compliance team to identify and address control deficiencies.
  • Collaborating with the UK Operations Finance team to ensure compliance with UK GAAP, US GAAP, and internal policies.
  • Providing accounting analysis and support to the UK Tax manager.
  • Oversight of VAT returns and compliance for all UK entities.

You will also be responsible for ensuring that all control activities meet Sarbanes-Oxley Act 404 Compliance requirements.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive accounting experience, including statutory and consolidated reporting.
  • A strong understanding of US GAAP.
  • Experience with SAP and Oracle HFM is beneficial.
  • An accountant accreditation, such as ACA/ACCA.
  • A minimum of five years' industry experience.
