Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an experienced SEN teaching assistant to support a non-verbal pupil with Down syndrome in a Gloucester-based school. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of support and intervention programmes for SEND, as well as experience in SEN/SEMH and pastoral care.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the pupil with daily activities and provide one-to-one assistance
- Develop and implement personalized learning plans to meet the pupil's needs
- Collaborate with the school team to ensure seamless integration into the classroom environment
- Relevant qualifications in special educational needs or a related field
- At least 2 years' experience working with children with SEN
- Proven ability to work effectively with pupils who require additional support
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible and adaptable approach to meeting changing demands
