Barnardo's is seeking a skilled Project Worker to join our team in Bristol. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering return home interviews to young people who have been missing.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with vulnerable young people, particularly those impacted by exploitation. You will be responsible for arranging and undertaking missing return conversations with young people under the age of 18 who have been missing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing an energetic and creative approach to establishing contact with young people
  • Meeting young people in their community
  • Building good rapport with marginalised young people
  • Completing return home interviews within 72 hours of young people returning from missing
  • Creating safety plans in partnership with young people
  • Working in partnership with key partner agencies to safeguard young people from further harm

The ideal candidate will have sound knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues, experience of working within child protection frameworks, and good assessment skills. You will also have the ability to keep accurate, up-to-date records and work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
