Job Description:

Barnardo's Lanarkshire Locality is seeking a skilled Project Worker 2 to provide support to children and young people affected by drugs and alcohol. The successful candidate will work in partnership with Scottish Families Affected by Drugs and Alcohol to promote the Grow Your Own Routes service across North Lanarkshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and group activities to support children and young people affected by drugs and alcohol.
  • Work with young people to identify support needs and develop plans to meet these needs.
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver a range of tailored interventions, including practical support, youth work, and evidence-based approaches.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the legislation impacting children and young people and local strategies to reduce drug and alcohol-related harms.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of the legislation impacting children and young people.
  • Good working knowledge of wider and local strategies in place to reduce drug and alcohol-related harms.
  • Ability to work evening and weekend shifts.
  • Full driving licence with access to a car for work purposes.
