Job Summary

We are recruiting experienced chefs to work at various events in Edinburgh and surrounding areas. Our clients are high-quality event caterers who work with top-notch produce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support event kitchens with prep, cooking, plating, and clean-down.
  • Run a station or section during service.
  • Prepare and carry out prep lists to ensure mise en place is ready.
  • Log temperature checks, keep the kitchen clean and tidy, and carry out health and hygiene practices.
  • Take overall responsibility for running the kitchen for senior bookings.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a good attitude, be dependable, and willing to work to the specs, recipes, and standards requested by each client.

What We Offer

Working with Tomtain Recruitment offers a range of benefits, including:

  • Paid weekly on an hourly basis, one week in hand.
  • Hourly rates vary between £15 to £20 per hour, depending on the booking.
  • Travel costs paid for events further afield.
  • Eligibility for a workplace pension after 3 months.
