Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We know that homelessness is not inevitable. We know that together we can end it.

This is an exciting time to join us. We have just moved into a new building with lots of potential to develop and grow our Edinburgh events. We’re also in the process of planning our Christmas events, offering connection and support to people experiencing homelessness at a very difficult time of year.

**Title**:Events Coordinator, Edinburgh

**Salary**:£29,505 per annum

**Contract**:Permanent

**Hours**:Business hours, occasional weekends and evening work and working through Christmas bank holiday period

**Location**:Office based, Edinburgh with events in the community and occasionally other parts of Scotland

**About the role**

As Events Coordinator, you will develop and deliver a diverse and engaging programme of events. Every day will be different. Alongside delivering events with and for service users you will be running awareness raising events, fundraising activities, partnership work and liaising with stakeholders to ensure the success of your events. You will also be creating inspiring and informative content for our social media channels.

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will be experienced in
- Developing and coordinating events, working with a range of stakeholders
- Customer care and stewardship of supporters
- Developing, managing and delivering projects
- Communicating with a wide range of audiences
- Developing relationships internally and externally to ensure the smooth running of events
- The ability to identify and mitigate potential risks
- Developing social media content across a range of networks
- Dealing with service users in a way that is strengths based and maintains dignity

**You may have experience in;**
- Volunteer coordination or volunteer management
- Fundraising
- Festival or conference management
- Codesign or coproduction
