Job Title: Lecturer (Teaching and Scholarship) in Legal Theory

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced academic to join our team as a Lecturer (Teaching and Scholarship) in Legal Theory. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and research in the area of legal theory, with a focus on Glasgow Legal Theory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead research projects in legal theory, with a focus on Glasgow Legal Theory
  • Teach and assess students in the area of legal theory, including undergraduate and postgraduate students
  • Contribute to the development of the School of Law's research profile, including securing external research funding
  • Supervise and mentor postgraduate research students
  • Contribute to the effective management and administration of the School of Law
Requirements:
  • PhD in a relevant field, with a strong research profile in legal theory
  • Experience of teaching and research in legal theory, with a focus on Glasgow Legal Theory
  • Ability to design and deliver high-quality teaching and research programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to the development of the School of Law's research profile
