The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Strathclyde is seeking a talented individual to fill a Lecturer position in Statistics for a fixed-term period of two years. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the Department's strategic direction and contributing to the University's vision for 2030.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and establish an independent and high-quality research program in statistics, focusing on areas such as health or data science.
- Design and deliver teaching materials for statistics classes, undertake student assessment activities, and contribute to the growth of our postgraduate programs in Statistics.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement research projects, and engage in interdisciplinary research aligned with one of our Strathclyde 2030 research themes.
Requirements:
- A strong research interest in statistics applied to health or data science, with a proven track record of producing high-quality research.
- Excellent teaching and communication skills, with the ability to design and deliver engaging teaching materials.
