Our client, Vetro Social Care, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children Residential Support Worker to join their team. This role is perfect for those who are passionate about supporting vulnerable children and young people and want to make a positive impact in their lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support children and young people in all daily activities and interests.
- Promote independence and well-being.
- Participate in weekends away, holidays, and trips to foster a sense of community and belonging.
- Engage in weekend and evening activities to support children's interests.
- Protect children from risks to their health and welfare.
- Provide emotional and practical support.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of care plans and guidelines.
- Overcome and learn from challenging incidents.
Requirements
- Empathetic and caring nature.
- At least 6 months of experience working with children or in a similar Social Care setting.
- Valid UK Driving Licence.
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
- Right to work in the UK.
