**Job Description:**

We are seeking an experienced Housing Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Nelson, Lancashire. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of housing projects, including cost control, value engineering, and contract administration.

About the Job:

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed cost plans and estimates for housing projects
  • Monitor project costs and identify potential cost savings
  • Manage variations and claims
  • Prepare and submit interim and final accounts
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
  • Conduct site visits to assess progress and identify potential issues

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Proven experience in quantity surveying within the social housing sector
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in construction software (e.g., Excel, CostX, Asite)

Location and Salary:

The position is based in Nelson, Lancashire, and offers a salary range of £50,000 - £65,000 + package. If you have the required skills and qualifications, please apply online.
