**About the role**

We are looking for a Quality Controller(QC) to join the Day Warehouse team. As a Quality Controller (QC), you will ensure that all goods in are monitored effectively following food safety guidelines and checked into the building. You will ensure that all goods in are monitored, completing visual inspection of deliveries to ensure that the quality and quantity are adhered to.

**What you will do**:

- Ensure all goods in are monitored completing visual inspection to ensure produce matches all descriptions, that there are no discrepancies and that all checks are complete for any damages, contamination and other risks.
- Make sure you are working in a safe area for yourself and those around you, so special awareness is always essential, and that health and safety is adhered to.
- Booking in using tablets with an in-house system
- Check in all goods and purchase orders accurately following food safety standards, quality and specifications matching correct counts of incoming goods.
- Conduct daily quality checks on current stock to ensure quality is of the high standards our customers require.
- Warehouse duties of moving pallets from loading bay using powered trucks and organising to the required departments by splitting down pallets which requires manual handling.
- Follow correct non-conformance procedures of rejecting any goods that don’t meet the goods in monitoring standards and liaising with manager/supervisor promptly.
- Monitor daily customer quality reports to ensure there are no issues and to feedback promptly to relevant team members.
- Work closely with yard and warehouse teams to ensure maintain efficiency of incoming goods.
- Maintain a good housekeeping culture to ensure workspace is tidy and audit ready.
- Support QC team members to complete checks,
- Complete daily tasks and accountabilities.
- Monitoring of high risk products

**What you will need**:

- Ability to use your initiative
- Good understanding of product quality
- Competence in using computers as most our work is done via this method

This role is commutable from Nelson, Colne, Barnoldswick, Earby, Burnley and Accrington with good access to the M65.
