Electrical Wireman/woman

Wiring electrical control panels to customer / engineering specification, compliant with GB Controls wiring and design standards.

Working to schematic wiring diagrams and General Arrangement Drawings to produce or assist in the production of electrical control panels either by working alone or as part of a team.

Liaise closely with the engineering team(s) to identify problems, raise awareness of potential issues and generally assist in the smooth running of assigned projects through production.

As part of the continuous improvement cycle, provide feedback (positive and negative) to the engineering team.

Comply with Workshop Safety Standards and assist in the development of Workshop Safety Standards wherever possible.

Comply with Quality Assurance Procedures, applicable to control panel manufacture.

Ensure compliance with all external electrical/component regulations such as cable and fuse sizing.

Assist, wherever possible in the development of wiring and panel build standards.

Assist in the training and development of apprentice technicians through one-to-one coaching.

Preference will be given to suitably experienced staff but consideration may also be given to less experienced applicants.
