Production Planner

Our client, a global manufacturing company, is seeking a Production Planner to become an integral part of their operations team. As an experience planner you will be reporting to the Production Manager & Operations Manager assisting in ensuring that the company’s production runs smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Planning, scheduling and coordinating production of the company’s products on a daily/weekly basis
- Monitor stock and raw materials to ensure everything is in place for production
- Scheduling shifts and workers to provide proper coverage
- Reporting on the production status and any production issues to upper management
- Handling production disruptions and productivity problems
- Finding ways to improve productivity, quality and efficiencies
- Work closely with other departments and manage expectations
- Attend production meetings and communicate with the team
- Investigate production issues and develop resolutions.
- Determine equipment, material and manpower requirements for project execution
- Ensure that final product meets quality standards and customer specifications
- Ensure that team follows company policies and safety standards
Skills
- Knowledge of production processes and quality control
- Math and analytical skills
- Technical skills using material requirements planning and scheduling software
