**Role Overview:**

We are seeking a Commercial Construction Consultant to join our team in Nelson. The successful candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying and experience working in the social housing sector.

Main Tasks:

  • Provide expert advice on commercial aspects of construction projects.
  • Develop and manage detailed cost plans and estimates for residential projects.
  • Analyze and report on project costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and identify potential issues.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and experience:

  1. Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in quantity surveying within the social housing sector.
  3. Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC).
  4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Proficiency in construction software (e.g., Excel, CostX, Asite).

The estimated salary for this role is £65,000 - £85,000 per year, depending on experience.
