We are seeking an experienced Wellbeing and Independence Lead to join our team at Teign Housing. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in delivering exceptional care and support services to our sheltered housing tenants.

In this pivotal role, you will ensure the wellbeing and independence of our tenants, providing them with everything they need to enjoy their lives to the full. This includes conducting regular visits and calls, responding rapidly to emergencies, and building close relationships with our residents.

You will also oversee all aspects of property maintenance and security, co-developing person-centred goal plans, and offering guidance on money management, self-care, and healthy living. Additionally, you will liaise constantly with external agencies to achieve positive outcomes and champion best practice in supporting older residents and those with special needs.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Lead a team of professionals in delivering care and support services to sheltered housing tenants.
  • Conduct regular visits and calls to ensure the wellbeing and independence of tenants.
  • Oversee all aspects of property maintenance and security.
  • Co-develop person-centred goal plans and offer guidance on money management, self-care, and healthy living.
  • Liaise with external agencies to achieve positive outcomes and champion best practice in supporting older residents and those with special needs.

**Requirements**

  • Fully versed in meeting the needs of older people.
  • Experience in managing teams, providing face-to-face customer support, and keeping detailed records.
  • Familiarity with the benefits and tax credits system would be an advantage.
  • Background in dealing with residents with challenging social, mental, and physical issues would be beneficial.
