Job Title: Business Development Director

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Director to lead our Central Laboratory Services division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for achieving annual sales plans and targets for assigned accounts and/or territories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieving annual sales plan and sales targets for assigned accounts and/or territory
  • Identifying and prioritizing clients in assigned accounts/territory
  • Nurturing and growing client relationships at the appropriate levels
  • Developing account plans and partnerships with key accounts
  • Providing regular updates on sales activities, account and opportunity needs, and strategy to management
  • Developing client call cycles to achieve objectives and sales plans; following up on leads
  • Providing market intelligence on key competitors
  • Selling the business unit's capabilities and differentiation frameworks
  • Recognizing and communicating sales opportunities for other business units
  • Setting and managing customer expectations
  • Collaborating with companywide resources to achieve superior customer satisfaction
  • Organizing and hosting client visits
  • Evaluating client RFIs, RFPs, proposals, and budgets, and providing input to ensure client and company requirements are met
  • Using Salesforce to document customer information, account plans, and decisions
  • Responsibility for Opportunity Management and accurate pipeline forecasting
  • Collaborating effectively with sales team members, SMEs, operational partners, and executives from other Labcorp units to bring potential opportunities to their attention and to identify and win multi-unit projects
  • Providing pricing feedback and competitive intelligence to internal teams to maximize margins and achieve appropriate win rates
  • Participating in proposal scope development as required
