Job Title: Business Development Director
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Director to lead our Central Laboratory Services division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for achieving annual sales plans and targets for assigned accounts and/or territories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieving annual sales plan and sales targets for assigned accounts and/or territory
- Identifying and prioritizing clients in assigned accounts/territory
- Nurturing and growing client relationships at the appropriate levels
- Developing account plans and partnerships with key accounts
- Providing regular updates on sales activities, account and opportunity needs, and strategy to management
- Developing client call cycles to achieve objectives and sales plans; following up on leads
- Providing market intelligence on key competitors
- Selling the business unit's capabilities and differentiation frameworks
- Recognizing and communicating sales opportunities for other business units
- Setting and managing customer expectations
- Collaborating with companywide resources to achieve superior customer satisfaction
- Organizing and hosting client visits
- Evaluating client RFIs, RFPs, proposals, and budgets, and providing input to ensure client and company requirements are met
- Using Salesforce to document customer information, account plans, and decisions
- Responsibility for Opportunity Management and accurate pipeline forecasting
- Collaborating effectively with sales team members, SMEs, operational partners, and executives from other Labcorp units to bring potential opportunities to their attention and to identify and win multi-unit projects
- Providing pricing feedback and competitive intelligence to internal teams to maximize margins and achieve appropriate win rates
- Participating in proposal scope development as required
