About the Role

As a Cloud Leadership Strategist at Amazon, you will be responsible for leading large-scale projects that integrate multiple work streams. You will serve as the bridge between cross-functional teams and customer executive teams, providing high-level briefings to Senior Vice Presidents and Vice Presidents.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Leadership and Strategy Implementation
  • Define, plan, and manage complex project workstreams across multiple strategic opportunities.
  • Lead project planning, scheduling, and coordination to ensure timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
  • Develop and implement risk management plans to mitigate project risks and demand plans to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Oversee contract execution, ensuring all contractual obligations are met and aligned with project objectives.
Executive Communication and Reporting
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level briefings and materials to SVPs and VPs, ensuring clarity and alignment with business objectives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for executive stakeholders and internal teams, maintaining continuous communication and transparency throughout project lifecycles.
  • Facilitate executive-level meetings and presentations, articulating project status, challenges, strategic recommendations, and contract deliverables.
Stakeholder Engagement and Team Collaboration
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to ensure alignment and support for project initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data requirements, ensuring they are clearly defined and integrated into project plans.
  • Lead proposal delivery efforts, working with internal teams to develop proposals that meet customer needs and align with strategic goals.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to project teams, enhancing their capabilities and ensuring high performance.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation
  • Evaluate project processes and outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and innovation.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to incorporate best practices into project management.
Accountability and Success Metrics
  • Tackle full responsibility for engagement success, tracking performance metrics and adjusting strategies as necessary to meet business objectives.
  • Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and strategic goals, including timely and accurate proposal delivery and contract execution.

Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience in Program Management or a similar leadership role in a technology-focused environment.
  2. 7+ years of leadership in technical product or program management, guiding strategic initiatives.
  3. 5+ years of managing large-scale, cross-functional projects, building sustainable processes and coordinating schedules.
  4. 5+ years of developing customer-facing presentations.
  5. Experience with project management disciplines, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
  6. Advanced project management certifications, such as PMP, Agile, or equivalent.
  7. Proven experience defining and managing KPIs/SLAs to drive multi-million dollar businesses, reporting to senior leadership.
  8. Track record of driving innovation within large organizations.
  9. Superior written and oral communication skills, particularly in executive settings.
