Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Deputy Diabetes Specialist Nurse to join our team at Guy's and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our specialist diabetes service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the specialist diabetes nurse in assessing and treating patients with diabetes, providing expert advice and education to non-specialist practitioners as required.
  • Work autonomously to develop, implement, and evaluate a seamless specialist service, ensuring patients receive the highest standard of clinical care.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of clinical practice, research, and standards of care within the service, including the development of policies, protocols, and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure the safety and well-being of service users, promoting dignity and human rights through person-centered care principles.
