About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 7 Paediatric Diabetes Specialist Nurse to join our well-established team at The Royal London Hospital. The successful candidate will work closely with a team of Paediatric Diabetes Specialist Nurses, support workers, Consultant Paediatricians, Endocrinologists, Dietitians, Clinical psychologists, and service managers to provide expert management of complex type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes in childhood and adolescence, rare forms of monogenic diabetes, and neonatal diabetes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective care plans for children and young people with diabetes
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide seamless care and support
  • Assist in the continued development of the Paediatric Diabetes service
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality care that meets the needs of children and young people with diabetes and their families
Requirements
  • Strong team work ethic and sense of accountability and autonomy
  • Ability to develop leadership and management skills
  • Knowledge of the Senior CAG management team and the development of the strategic plan for the Paediatric Diabetes service
  • Commitment to promoting child-focused, family-centered care
