Library Support Officer

We are a local authority dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of our residents. As a Library and Community Access Worker, you will be part of our team that delivers exceptional services to our community. Your main responsibilities will include assisting customers with library-related queries, completing administrative tasks, and engaging directly with customers to develop their reading and learning skills.
**Role Responsibilities**
- Assist customers with library-related queries and complete administrative tasks
- Undertake back-office duties, including checking delivery notes, bills, records, and raising queries
- Perform physical work, such as shelving books, packing and unpacking stock, stock editing and repairs, locking and unlocking buildings
- Work directly with customers to engage and interest them in developing their reading and learning and IT skills across all libraries and outreach locations
