About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Art Market Specialist to join our team at White Cube. As a key member of our secondary market team, you will play a crucial role in advancing our strategic initiatives by researching, managing, and maintaining object data.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide insights that support our global sales efforts and market analysis, while ensuring the highest standards of data integrity and discretion when dealing with confidential information.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough research on various aspects of the art market, including market trends, artist profiles, and exhibition history.

You will collaborate closely with our Market Analyst and sales team to document and manage object data, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our database.

In addition, you will assist in compiling data for presentations on sourcing, pricing, and sales pipelines, providing valuable insights to inform our sales strategies.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a fine art category or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years paid art world experience required, auction experience preferred.
  • Strong interest in Modern and Contemporary Art market essential.
  • Previous experience working with data and database management.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Enjoys stakeholder management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including strong written and spoken communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, organise, prioritise, and deliver to tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently on long-term, sometimes confidential projects.

Salary Range: £34,000 - £37,000 per annum.
