Job Title: Art Research Specialist

Halcyon, a leading modern art programme, seeks a skilled researcher to join our team. Located in Central London, this full-time role offers a competitive salary of £40,000.

We champion emerging and established international artists, curating large-scale exhibitions within the UK and worldwide. As an Art Research Specialist, you will conduct in-depth research on artworks, provenance, and attributions. Your tasks include cataloguing, documenting, and updating our database, as well as writing entries based on specialist research. You will work on loan requests, publication projects, proofreading, and archival research, providing administrative support to senior staff. Consultations with experts, curators, and institutions internationally are also essential.

To succeed in this role, you must have a BA and MA in History of Art, with at least 2 years of experience working in the art industry. You should be educated to at least Masters level in History of Art and have experience researching artworks, clients, sourcing, and performing provenance checks. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and fluency in English (with additional languages desirable) are necessary.
