Job Overview

The Service Manager role is responsible for leading and upskilling an efficient service team within the forklift industry. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar position and be able to oversee daily scheduling, provide emergency cover when necessary, and take ownership of customer relationships.

Salary: £55,000-£65,000 per annum

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the workshop and field service teams to ensure all breakdowns and servicing are carried out efficiently to generate revenue and profit for the company. They will also oversee the daily scheduling for the field service team, provide occasional emergency cover, and be the point of contact for customer technical support.

Key Responsibilities:

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have previous experience leading a service team within the Forklift, Plant, and/or Automotive industries. They should also have hands-on management/leadership style and be happy to assist the service team out in the field where required. Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering are advantageous.
