Join our team at Oakwood House, a specialist residential children's home providing a programme of care, treatment and education for up to 4 children aged between 11 to 16 years.
Job Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Therapeutic Care Worker to join our team at Oakwood House. As a Therapeutic Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, supportive and nurturing environment for our young residents. You will work closely with our experienced team to develop and implement individualized care plans, promoting the emotional and psychological well-being of our children.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality therapeutic care and support to our young residents, promoting their emotional and psychological well-being.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, working closely with our experienced team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our children.
- Contribute to a safe and supportive environment, promoting positive relationships and a sense of community among our residents.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, including social workers, therapists and other professionals, to ensure the best possible outcomes for our children.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development, enhancing your skills and knowledge in therapeutic care and support.
We are looking for a highly motivated and compassionate individual with a passion for working with children and young people. You will have:
A strong understanding of child development and the needs of children and young people.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with our residents, colleagues and external stakeholders.A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, with a desire to enhance your skills and knowledge in therapeutic care and support.A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.What We Offer:We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including:
40 days' annual leave.Up to 6% employer pension contribution.Health benefit and life assurance.Relocation package considered.The unique opportunity to become a qualified child psychotherapist whilst working in children's home.45 working hours per week plus sleep in duties.Oakwood House is a specialist residential children's home providing a programme of care, treatment and education for up to 4 children aged between 11 to 16 years. We are committed to safeguarding children and follow safer recruitment guidelines. All appointments will be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS and references.
