Job Summary

Childhood First is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapeutic Care Worker to join our team at Greenfields House, a specialist residential children's home in Kent. As a Therapeutic Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for children aged 5-13 years.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, promoting their emotional and psychological well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to create a therapeutic environment, supporting children's individual needs and goals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for children.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in child psychotherapy and residential care.
  • Support the safeguarding and promotion of children's welfare, adhering to Childhood First's policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Experience of working with children therapeutically or in a residential setting (desirable but not essential).
  • Ability to work as part of a team, promoting a culture of collaboration and mutual respect.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and training in child psychotherapy and residential care.
