Job Summary:
Childhood First is seeking a skilled Therapeutic Care Worker to join our team at Oakwood House, a specialist residential children's home in Kent. As a Therapeutic Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for children aged 11-16 years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, promoting their emotional and psychological well-being.
- Work collaboratively with the Oakwood House team to create a therapeutic environment, supporting children's individual needs and goals.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans, ensuring children receive the best possible support.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in child psychotherapy and residential care.
- Work closely with external stakeholders, including social workers and other professionals, to ensure children receive comprehensive support.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children therapeutically or in a residential setting (desirable but not essential).
- Ability to work as part of a team, promoting a culture of safety, respect, and inclusivity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, colleagues, and external partners.
- Commitment to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare and well-being.
