Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Therapeutic Care Worker to join our team at Oakwood House, a specialist residential children's home in Kent. As a Therapeutic Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for children aged 11-16 years.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, promoting their emotional and psychological well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to create a therapeutic environment, supporting children's individual needs and goals.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of individual care plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for children.
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe and supportive living environment, promoting children's physical and emotional safety.
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in therapeutic care and child development.
Requirements:

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about working with children and young people, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality therapeutic care. You will have:

Experience of working with children therapeutically or in a residential setting (desirable but not essential).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, colleagues, and external stakeholders.A strong understanding of child development, therapeutic care principles, and safeguarding practices.Ability to work flexibly, including sleep-in duties, and participate in on-call rotas.What We Offer:
