Job Opportunity:

Therapeutic Care Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapeutic Care Worker to join our team at Gables House, a specialist residential children's home in Kent. As a Therapeutic Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for children aged 11-13 years old.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, promoting their emotional and psychological well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to create a therapeutic environment, supporting children's individual needs and goals.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in child psychotherapy and residential care.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for children.
  • Engage in sleep-in duties and participate in on-call rotas to ensure the home is always staffed and children receive the support they need.

Requirements:

We are looking for a motivated and empathetic individual with a passion for working with children. Experience in therapeutic care or residential settings is desirable, but not essential. We are committed to supporting and training suitable candidates without experience.
