About the Role

The Duty Service Delivery Manager is a senior leader position within the Rail Operating Centre (ROC) based in York. The ROC is responsible for delivering the day-to-day running of all services across the network. This role involves leading the Service Delivery Team on duty and supporting the delivery of continuous improvements to ensure an outstanding operational train service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Service Delivery Team on duty and engage with stakeholders to ensure operational plans meet customer needs.
  • Direct and coordinate Service Delivery actions, identifying issues and taking remedial action to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure team members are competent and efficient.
Requirements
  • Experience in strategic service delivery, ideally within rail or transport.
  • Extensive people management experience, including leading, developing, motivating, and inspiring others.
  • Strong business commercial acumen, including revenue, budgets, and financial impact.
  • Ability to work 24/7 shift pattern and be on call as part of this post.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, dependent on experience. We estimate that the salary range is at least £62,150 based on Middlesbrough's average salary range.
