We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our Neonatal Outreach Team and support their growth in a forward-thinking environment.

">Job Summary

This role involves being visible on the unit, preparing families for discharge, and undertaking clinical duties in the home to ensure safe practices and earlier discharge. The successful candidate will manage the neonatal outreach team, ensuring it is responsive to changing clinical environments and evolving parent needs.

Main Duties:
  1. Supporting families to effectively discharge from the neonatal unit, enabling them to confidently care for their child at home.
  2. Leading the neonatal outreach team, ensuring it adapts to changing clinical demands and parent requirements.
  3. Educating staff on good outreach processes and promoting quality care.
  4. Collaborating with a wider team of professionals who value quality work, staff success, and future neonatal care advancements.
  5. Data collection and continuous evaluation of neonatal outreach services.
  6. Annual RSV protection clinic management.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

Essential Qualifications:
  1. Registered Nurse/Midwife (Child/Adult) with current NMC registration
  2. Health-related first degree
  3. Recognizable teaching qualification (Mentorship / MIPS / FLIPS / or Equivalent)
  4. Neonatal Qualification in Specialty (QIS), ENB 405 or equivalent
  5. Newborn Life Support (NLS) certification
Desirable Qualifications:
  1. Community Care of the Neonate Certificate / Or Equivalent
  2. Non-Medical Prescribing Qualification
Estimated Salary:

$60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

The salary range reflects the importance of this role in leading our Neonatal Outreach Team and supporting the growth of our clinical services.
