We are a UK-based charity with operational hubs in various locations. Our mission is to enable people with disabilities to access and enjoy the countryside through our exciting programme of activities.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Community Outreach Coordinator for rural development, based in Middlesbrough. As part of our Middlesbrough hub, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running and development of the hub, including line management responsibilities for hub staff.

You will coordinate volunteer recruitment, training, and resourcing, publicise and promote the hub, and work with our fundraising team to ensure the long-term future of the hub. You will also produce an engaging programme of countryside activities and lead at least two weekday activities per week, up to two weekend activities each month.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the reputation and profile of the Middlesbrough Hub within the local community.
  • Coordinate the recruitment, training, and supervision of volunteers, ensuring effective use of resources.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver high-quality programmes of countryside activities, tailored to meet the needs of diverse user groups.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative fundraising initiatives to secure the long-term sustainability of the Middlesbrough Hub.

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum (dependent on experience).

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a countryside or community development role, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
