Nurse Specialist for Children and Young People

We are seeking an experienced Band 5 Nurse to join our dedicated and supportive care team at Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People in Loughborough. Our Nursing team provides high-quality care to babies, children, and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for children and young people in partnership with them and their parents/guardians.
- Provide excellent short break, palliative, and end-of-life care at Rainbows in a family-centered environment, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
- Ensure all procedures are carried out in accordance with local and national policies in force within the Hospice.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a qualified RSCN/RN (Child Branch)/RNLD/RGN with post-registration experience, relevant placement experience, or pre-nurse training care experience. Experience working with babies, children, and/or young people (0-25 years) with complex needs is essential. Palliative care experience is desirable, but specialist training and development opportunities will be provided. Excellent communication skills and the ability to demonstrate high standards of clinical care are essential.
